WORLD LEBANESE CULTURAL UNION Interview Mr. Michel Doueihi – Date: 08/02/2008 President of the World Senate - Mr. Michel Doueihi -  1-                  What the WLCU means in your opinion? The WLCU was established in 1950 in Australia. Since then, it always worked to help Lebanon in all possible ways, especially to improve the economy health of the country. The main meaning for this World Organisation is to make the Lebanese people get together in a way to support their motherland and promoting the feeling of proud to be Lebanese. 2-                  What is your goal today being an active member of WLCU? Surely, my objective is to work hard for the good of Lebanon. So, I think that an important thing is to bring more and more people to get involved in this mission. Working in this organisation for the good of Lebanon is always a good challenge! 3-                  What are your predictions to the future of WLCU?  I think that the WLCU will have more influence all over the world. Although we have members in every country, in some of them the number should be increased, for example, in Africa. Another point is that the young generation will be more involved because they are our future. 4-                  What is your point of view about the future of Lebanon? (Political situation) This is that everyone called "the 10 million dollar's question" because it's very hard to answer. What I can say is that we should never ever put your head down and always fight for our country. I am not talking about politics, because politic is a dirty game. This is a fight for our country and one day we will get the benefits of it. We must believe in Lebanon! No one can take it from us and that's why we need a big support from outside, to protect our motherland.  5-                  What would you say to the young generation of Lebanese descendents to encourage them to know the culture and history of Lebanon or to make part of WLCU? First of all, I would say to them go back to the church, because they give many information about Lebanon there. Second, if you have chance, go and visit Lebanon at least once in life. It promotes something different on you; it's a feeling hard to explain. The third and most important thing is that without you Lebanon is nothing, our help from outside is really important. The support from outside that the Lebanese's promote is very important and always makes part of Lebanon, our past prove that we never ever had Lebanese refugees in our history. Finally, I would like to finish it saying that our country is like gold, doesn't matter what happen, Lebanon will always produces their self bright from inside. I believe in Lebanon!    President of World Lebanese Cultural Young Union of Brazil – Renan Abi Chedid -
